Halbro was established in 1974, at first servicing and repairing Electric Forklifts. After repeated requests from Customers with both electric and I.C. engine machines, Halbro expanded to cover the whole range of Forklifts . This expansion included the establishment of a casual and long term forklift rental fleet.

In 1994, Halbro imported it’s first new Forklifts to supply the New Zealand market, and in doing so, became the Sole Distributor for Hyundai Forklift Trucks in New Zealand.

In 2006 Halbro Forkhoist Sevices & Hire Ltd was sold and the new company Halbro Forklifts Ltd was formed. Halbro Forklifts Ltd continues with new management but retains the same staff, standards and service as before.  

Commitment to Customer Service has always been paramount at Halbro. The selection of a broad base of well-qualified staff, motivated to perform has enabled us to achieve this.

The introduction of our onsite warranty of fitness facility coupled with our  Computerized Preventative Maintenance Program, that can be tailor-made to suit any Customer’s particular requirement, has been well received. Our customers enjoy the assurance that all work undertaken by Halbro is carried out in accordance with NZ safety standards for forklift trucks.
